Welcome
Welcome to the London Housing Foundation online gallery, where we are proud to present photography and art work by and about people who have used homelessness services.
We are very grateful to the artists and photographers who have allowed us to use their work and to the agencies who have facilitated this project.
Many of the images contained in the gallery are also presented throughout the London Housing Foundation web pages, helping to make our website more visually stimulating. In the gallery, you will find larger versions of the images, information about the artist and the agency that helped the artist to produce the work.
Journalists and others who are looking for images are encouraged to make contact with the relevant agency for permission to reuse images on this website. Please read our terms and conditions if considering downloading images from this website.
We welcome your feedback on this gallery and on the artwork included. Please do not hesitate to contact us or the agency concerned with your thoughts or queries.
Kevin Ireland, the executive director of the London Housing Foundation explains the motivation behind the LHF Gallery: "What is a gallery of artwork and photos doing on the website of a foundation that's concerned with homelessness? Well, homelessness is a pretty dire condition and it has dramatic and highly negative consequences for the individuals concerned. However, these individuals should not be defined only by their problems. They each have something to offer others and many - as this gallery shows - have considerable creative talents. So thanks to all the contributors to the gallery and we hope you enjoy seeing what they've produced. Keep coming back to the site as we update it with new images on a regular basis."
